- 6 prawns
- 2 tablespoon plain flour
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 2 egg
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 tablespoon bread crumbs
- Oil for frying
- Firstly to butterfly the prawns remove the head of the prawns and cut through the ridges on the back of the prawn shell.
- Turn the prawn over and cut the straight line through the center of the prawn shell.
- Take a sharp knife and cut the horizontal slit on the tail of the prawn.
- Score the line through the prawn shell again and flatten it.
- Now take all the dry ingredients except bread crumbs in a bowl and mix them well.
- Then in another bowl mix egg and milk, and take bread crumbs in seperate bowl.
- Now dip the butterfly prawns in egg mixture and then coat them in flour mixture one by one.
- Then dip them again in egg and again in flour and then in bread crumbs in the end.
- Deep fry them immediately and serve them hot.
