Recipe of Fried Butterfly Prawns

  • 6 prawns
  • 2 tablespoon plain flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 egg
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoon bread crumbs
  • Oil for frying
  • Firstly to butterfly the prawns remove the head of the prawns and cut through the ridges on the back of the prawn shell.
  • Turn the prawn over and cut the straight line through the center of the prawn shell.
  • Take a sharp knife and cut the horizontal slit on the tail of the prawn.
  • Score the line through the prawn shell again and flatten it.
  • Now take all the dry ingredients except bread crumbs in a bowl and mix them well.
  • Then in another bowl mix egg and milk, and take bread crumbs in seperate bowl.
  • Now dip the butterfly prawns in egg mixture and then coat them in flour mixture one by one.
  • Then dip them again in egg and again in flour and then in bread crumbs in the end.
  • Deep fry them immediately and serve them hot.
