Recipe of Vegetable Chowmein

Serves 3-4
Ingredients
  • 2 packet hakka chowmein
  • 5 cups water 
  • 1 tsp salt 
  • 1 tbsp oil for noodles
  • 2 tbsp oil 
  • 2 tsp chopped  garlic 
  • 1 tsp black pepper 
  • 1/2 cup onion sliced
  • 1/2 cup capsicum sliced
  • 1/2 cup carrot sliced
  • 1/2 cup mushroom
  • 1/2 cup cabbage sliced
  • 1 tsp soy sauce 
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp vinegar 
  • 2 teaspoon chilly sauce
Method
  1. Bring water oil and salt to boil. Add noodles and cook 'bite like'. 
  2. Drain immediately and cool under running water till noodles are thoroughly cooled.  and leave in the colander till required.
  3. Heat the 2 tbsp of the oil and stir- fry garlic mixture and onions over high heat till onions are glossy. 
  4. Add the vegetables and stir to mix well. Add the Soya sauce, salt, black pepper, vinegar and chilly sauce. Mix well and add the noodles and stir- fry till well mixed. Do all this over high heat. 
  5. Serve hot.
